Adoption & fostering open day Hertfordshire
11/03/2017
Come along and talk to us during National LGBT Adoption and Fostering week.
You are invited to the adoption and fostering open day in support of this year’s LGBT Week (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) 6-12 March 2017. The event takes place on Saturday, March 11 at Bourne Leisure, HP2 AYL, from 10.30am – 1.30pm.
LGBT adoption & fostering Week is organised by New Family Social, a charity that supports LGBT adopters and foster carers across the UK.
Richard Roberts, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “I want to encourage as many people as possible to consider how they can help change the lives of our local children and teenagers.”
“We know from experience that LGBT people often come to adoption and fostering with an open mind and real enthusiasm – it’s often their chance to start a family. It is also important to say that this event is open to everyone.”
If you would like to know more about adoption or fostering then please come to the open day – there is no need to book just turn up on the day.
